Great idea Kim!

I think it would also be nice to know the time frame of the production schedule. For example, when are you working on your Summer brochure and when is the best time to get information to you for placement in the brochure (read: when can IPRA provide you with filler PSA ads/event information?).

We apologize for the original uploads not working right. We had initially used Adobe Share to upload the PDFs and have them available online for free viewing without any downloads. Unfortunately, Adobe Share is still in beta testing and it wasn't as reliable as we had thought.

We're now using SlideShare to display the creative work from the Agency Showcase Competition. We've used this before for other work we've done and it's reliable and easy to use.

We also created a new page on the C&M blog called the Design Gallery to house everything. Check it out.

What's nice about SlideShare is that you can flip through the entries directly from the blog. You can also make comments on each of the entries by simply clicking on the "view" link within each of the players!

During my recent preconference sessions at the IPRA/IAPD conference I specifically spoke about "Cutting Edge Media" and the shift from "marketing messages" to "marketing conversations." We talked about everything from My Space and Craig's List to Blogs and Wikepedia -- all which are fantastic (and free) avenues to spread the word about your programs, plans and benefits. Over 60 people attended and (most) inquisitively and enthusiastically embraced these new ideas. We wondered, however, how "old-school" decision-makers and community leaders will be, to green light new media? Sometimes, it makes more sense to "jay walk" than to wait for permission to cross into new territory. For now, check out my blog dedicated to marketing parks, recreation, camps and community servies. www.littleredsbigideas.typepad.com http://www.typepad.com/t/trackback/2383610/25477198

I highly recommend Visionary Webworks. John Staples did a great job of first moving our site to a new host, and then creating and launching our new site. He has always been extremely responsive to requests for assistance and still helps me resolve issues with site maintenance even though he launched our site over 9 months ago. Take a look at our web site and see what you think - www.tinleyparkdistrict.org.

Visionary Webworks / eParkDistrict.com works with more park districts than any other web developer! Park districts like Bartlett, Cary, Frankfort Square, Glenview, Tinley Park, Lemont, River Forest, Crystal Lake, St. Charles, Plainfield, Glen Ellyn and many more trust us to deliver highly effective web solutions at competitive prices.

And our web designs are not just effective and affordable; they are award winning too! :) Our web design for McHenry County Conservation District took 1st place in the 2007 Agency Showcase Competition at the IPRA/IAPD Conference!

We try very hard to stay engaged and involved in the parks and recreation industry. I will be presenting a workshop at next year's conference on the future of the web. Save the date!

I welcome you to take a look at some of our work and if you like what you see get in touch. We can help you take your web site to the next level and beyond!
